"A fantastic book that feels like a complete guide to understanding and navigating what can be a tough time of life. I read the new 'for men' book first, loved it, and then came here to get the woman's perspective.
Like the version for men, this is incredibly clear, direct and practical, and offers great objective advice, not telling women what to decide but not sitting on the fence and being clear on the author's perspective. I gained further insights and further practical advice to share with the women in my life.
Very well written and structured, helpful and I loved the humour/lightening elements - these balanced what is a very serious topic very eloquently. It is very brave to share personal stories on such personal and sensitive topics, and this vulnerability really helps the reader understand and empathise with the challenges."

"What a fabulous book. Easy to read and so very real. Freda completely understands the turmoil of this time in our lives and offers understanding and so many helpful suggestions while understanding we are all individual. The section for partners is wonderful, to try and explain when you are emotional is so hard but again Freda shows so much understanding and shows how simple supporting us can actually be. Check out the being calmly held and being made to feel safe! Game changer, thank you Freda 💗 Have recommended this book to all my friends of a certain age 🙂 we can all be godesses!".

"Reading this book feels like sitting with a good friend and discussing the ins and outs of life changes over a nice glass of wine. I can almost hear Freddy reading it to me. Really well written and accessible information".

"I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for writing such a fantastic book! It is so well written. I bought a copy for my sister who passed it onto her friend, and I believe she passed it onto another (I know that's not good for business, but the positive vibes they are passing on is amazing). today one of my customers was late as she got lost on her way. I had a chat with her about brain fog and gave her my copy of your book, she has since messaged me to say she is going to buy a couple to give to her own friends. So thank you, for taking the time and making us all realise we are not alone.".

"I've just started to read your book menopause unzipped. It's an amazing book, i just wish I had a book to read like this when I started my journey into the unknown. Your book has already given me advice about some of the symptoms I'm still experiencing, after only reading the first 2 chapters. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of this book and will recommend to all of my friends. Thank you for your gift to all the women in the world, including me. I know that my life may have been a little easier if professionals, Drs, nurses, employers, friends, and family understood more of what I was going through, instead of thinking I was having a breakdown. Thank you again, and I wish you all the best for the future.".

"Read this book in one night and I was so relieved at how normal the majority of feelings and symptoms actually are xx the excert from the lady who was sat outside Morrisons has been me on numerous occasions. I had a nightmare just getting a Dr just to listen to me and actually had 5 appointments in one day just to be understood. I wasn't though until January this year when I begged for HRT and it's been a life saver. Thank you for all the guidance in the book , I'm taking it on board and finding what works for me".

Am I going crazy?
Have I developed insomnia
Do I have dementia?
My periods are chaotic, what's happening?
Why do my joints ache?
Why am I tired and forgetful, all the time?
Menopause happens for all women as your biology does its thing with hormones, and you may find the transition through this stage can be deeply uncomfortable and sometimes scary. There is a great deal of information available but it's meaningless without context. Until you get an understanding of menopause and its symptoms you might struggle to associate it with what you are feeling.
